With the change of years, we always make various lofty new lists goals that we often miss to follow. Our goals and commitment sometimes are hard to follow because we are so unrealistic in devising them.

But I have tried to be quite realistic in keeping my list of books for 2022.

I know 50 books would be a little more for me because I have to see other things in life as well. I am a husband, dad, and son myself, and I also do freelancing and my 9–5 job.

I have selected these books for my 2022 because I have read and heard about them. Many of these books are recommended by my friends, and I have already bought a few books on the list and have started reading them.

I read Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe, The Forty Rules of Love, and The Bastard of Istanbul by Elif Shafak. Both of them are excellent writers and represent their cultures more significantly.

Achebe has poured out his heart in his book Things Fall Apart. I have never read a cultural story with much more significant insights like this. He has wrapped his cultural tale in a beautiful and mesmerizing language that one can’t put down the book until one finishes it.

Elif Shafak also represents the life and culture of Turkish people from a broader perspective. She has mostly dealt with women’s plight in the male-dominated society.

I hope to read the others soon and come to you with more significant insights. You can also add to your reading bucket from the above list.
